Expert Series: Morgan Sindall
In our latest Expert Series, we’re looking at our work with one of the UK’s biggest construction companies, Morgan Sindall. This company is pioneering a creative and engaging approach to corporate video, in an otherwise traditional industry.
Morgan Sindall is, on the face of it, a construction company. They build buildings and infrastructure, sure. More than that though, Morgan Sindall are pioneers. Pioneers in regeneration, sustainability and changing a very traditional industry to reflect todays sensibilities.
This set of core values is something we discovered about Morgan Sindall back in 2014. We partnered together on The Enterprise Centre; Europe’s Greenest Building. Morgan Sindall were contracted because of their commitment to a carbon-neutral construction process. This involved turning the industry on its head; making decisions that were fairer and greener at the expense of entrenched thinking & traditional practices.
Since that project, Morgan Sindall have continued to rely on our video production services… And, at every step, we have marvelled at how the company approaches each build with their values and ethos in mind.
How we work with Morgan Sindall
The honest truth is that we have been lucky. Creative ideas can’t get made without creative clients.
Since 2014, we have been able to talk honestly with our contacts at Morgan Sindall. We unearth the story and ethos behind each build. It has been this approach that has allowed us to propose non-traditional and creative ideas for their construction video content. We have focused on narratives, or the emotional impact of build projects, while the architecture and process has remained a secondary concern.
This approach is reflected in two particular projects; Operation Spitfire & Achieve Your Best.
For us, the creative process begins with the conversation. Behind every Morgan Sindall project, there’s a greater agenda. Whether it’s regenerating a community, providing greater accessibility to marginalised groups or celebrating a piece of history. This is where we begin with our idea.
The narrative approach is then supported by our signature cinematic style which elevates the film to a high commercial level. Our aim is to produce a film that stands above other construction video projects as something entirely new.
Following the completion of the project, we were surprised by our client with a behind-the-scenes film that brings the process to life!
