Visit Norwich wanted to create a refreshing series of tourist films that explored the nuances of Norwich & Norfolk. Each vignette focused on an individual who represented a particular cultural theme.
The first film of this series, entitled The Writer, highlighted Norwich’s literary heritage. The film is narrated by Rowan Whiteside, a Creative Writing student from UEA. In The Writer, she discusses the impact of Norwich on her writing and life.
Our local Norwich team filmed at various literary locations within the city, including The Dormouse Bookshop, and Dragon Hall, home of the National Centre of Writing.
The Writer is part of a 6-film series that includes The Restaurateur, The Trendsetter, The Curator, The Rambler & The Visitor.
