The Matthew Project wanted a film that demonstrated how they can change the lives of young people struggling with addiction. Tasha’s story is a common one among teens addicted to drugs or alcohol.
We worked with the team at The Matthew Project to identify a real story that could be used for the film narrative. This was to ensure we remained as accurate and authentic as possible. The Norwich Production team met with one of the young people helped by The Matthew Project and conducted a private interview, to understand their story.
We then re scripted the story to remove identifying points and went about turning it in to a short film.
Tasha’s story was easily adaptable; providing the common narrative arc of struggle, awareness and finally, personal success. We chose boxing as the alternative activity to provide interesting visuals and the opportunity for a cinematic style.
We have worked with a number of Third Sector organisations, and would certainly like to work with more. You can see some of our projects for The Garage, STREVA & Norfolk County Council.
